What you'll need:

Painting tips:

• Use acrylic craft paints — red, white, and blue for a classic patriotic look (or get creative with your color palette)
• Use a high-density foam roller on the larger pieces for smooth, even coverage
• For small detail pieces, press them onto face-up painter's tape to hold steady while you paint
• Allow paint to fully dry before assembly

Assembly:

Pieces are pre-cut and slide together. Use wood glue to permanently attach detail pieces to the insert. The insert lifts in and out of the window stand for easy seasonal swapping.

Painting tips:

• A high-density sponge roller makes the base coat fast and clean. Keep it light so paint doesn't drip over the edges. A dry stencil brush also works well.
• To paint the small detail pieces, lay a strip of painter's tape FACE UP on your table, secure both ends, and stick the pieces to the exposed tape. The tape holds them steady while you paint.
